05 Feb My Background

For those of you who may not know me, I’m originally from Ethiopia and came to the US in 2005. I’ve diverse educational and professional backgrounds.

Before I came to the US, I used to be a researcher working for an international research organization- studying the macro and micro economic impacts of a transboundary disease in the Horn of Africa.

Once here in the US, I pursued my Master’s in Computer Science and used to work for a major corporation in the northern Virginia area as a software engineer.

I then made a shift to pursue my doctoral degree in strategic leadership.

I’ve been a leadership coach, consultant, facilitator, speaker, and trainer since 2008.

Beginning last year, I have also begun working in the commercial real estate and business brokerage industries.

As you can see, I’ve been all over the map 🙂 This is my hope that the latest shift will be my last 🙂
